I may be the last to write about Google Plus, as got a plus in family too :)

Well, G+ - all in one - Google Profile, Google Buzz, Picasa Album and extra new features - Circles, Hangouts and Sparks - a wider version of social networking

Just tried out few features of G+, have to take a full swing sometime esp on settings, privacy policies etc. Seems to be good so far.

Google News has introduced a new feature called Local News, now we can able to find stories from any part of the world by just typing the city, state, zip code!

When we type a city name, a local section is being created for that city.

Say, we are typing the city name as Bangalore (now its bengaluru), a local section has been created for Bangalore in the left column under the Top stories menu and if we click that, we can get the stories of Bangalore...

Now, the current formula for getting top ad placement is Maximum CPC (Highest amount willing to pay for a click on the Ad)

Google is on the way to implement new algorithms to report paid links! Currently, Matt Cutts has given a way to report the paid links.

Go to Google’s webmaster console and use the authenticated spam report form, and add the word “paidlink” (no space between paid and link) in the text area of the spam report.

You can also use the unauthenticated spam report form and type the word “paidlink” (no space between paid and link) in the text area of the spam report.

When we view the source code of a page in Wikipedia, “nofollow” attribute is embedded with the links to avoid spamming and commercial links, since Wiki is "Great Open Source" and a mini Library!!!

If SE’s views this “nofollow” attribute then it will,

NOT follow through to that page, NOT count the link in calculating PR link popularity scores, NOT count the anchor text!!
